The Jake Keeslar 66N – Unstructured Performance Cap – is named for U.S. Veteran Jake Keeslar.
Sergeant First Class Keeslar joined the Army in 1990 as a 19D Cavalry Scout. He attended basic training in Fort Knox Kentucky. While deployed to Iraq with Alpha troop 4/14 as a gunner in 2006 he encountered an IED. As a result of the blast, he had both legs amputated. One below and one above the knee. SFC Keeslar received care and rehab at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He remained on active duty until his retirement in 2011. SFC Keeslar lives with his wife Vanessa in Fallbrook, California and is enjoying his retirement by playing golf and participating in adaptive sporting events.
